The Spheres of Co-Creation Model

The Spheres of Co-Creation is a model showing how the inner and outer levels of our being are connected – how the outer levels reflect the inner, and in turn affect them. The patterns at the inner levels – consciousness, subtle energy, psyche and cultural worldview – underlie and determine the patterns at the outer levels – our social, ecological, economic, political and global planetary systems. In a deeper sense, these outer, collective levels ripple out of the inner ones, which are their subtle, invisible source at the deepest dimensions of our being, the unified, non-local quantum field and zero-point field of infinite potential.

This means we need to change at the inner levels in order to change our world. In fact, enormous changes are already happening at both levels, personal and collective, in these times of extreme crisis, but the more consciously we can connect and align these levels, the more profoundly and effectively we can change both ourselves and our world for the better.

For the purposes of the Inner and Outer Freedom Coach Training, the Spheres of Co-Creation model is used in several ways. First, it serves to illustrate, graphically, this dynamic spectrum of the levels of our being, from the innermost subtle levels of consciousness to the outermost complex collective systems. Second, it helps us navigate the inner levels, approaching our personal challenges from the deepest level of consciousness at their root. Third, it helps us navigate, collectively, the transformation so urgently needed at the outer systemic levels today, by identifying and mapping the different organizations working for that transformation at all levels, and bringing us together in co-creative collaboration.

The Collective Context: How Social Transformation Arises from the Deeper Levels of Consciousness

The premise of the Spheres of Co-Creation approach is that the dysfunctions, and now crises, in our outer systems, come from misperceptions and distorted worldviews at the deepest levels of our consciousness, and so it is from there that they need to be addressed and transformed. As Albert Einstein famously said “We can’t solve our problems from the same level of consciousness that caused them.”  It is clear that our divisive thinking and perceptions have gotten us into our crises, and that, in order to redress and correct that, we need to return to the unitive consciousness at our core, from which new, aligned solutions can flow that serve both our own best interests and that of the Whole.

In short, the crises today are calling us to shift from divisive to unitive consciousness, from divisive perceptions and thinking that falsely fragment our true nature, to the unitive consciousness, and unified field of creation, that are actually who we are. This inner shift in consciousness can then ripple upwards to our collective outer systems, and back again, creating a positive feedback loop between an awakened, unitive consciousness and awakened, harmonious systems, that honor our unity-in-diversity, our deep and sacred interconnectedness with each other and all of nature.

From the inside out, and bottom up, we reinvent our conception of who we are, and how we affect our world. From a perception of non-separation – the realization that we are all manifestations of one underlying, universal source of all creation – we relate to each other with love, fellow-feeling, empathy and cooperation rather than competition, conflict, polarization and violence.

In the context of the IOF Training, the SoC both provides a roadmap for this shift, freeing and awakening us from the inside out; and also acts as a database that can help clients connect with like-minded organizations and networks, as they find support for their needs, and vehicles for their own gifts and contributions.

The Personal Context: How Tapping into that Deepest Unitive Consciousness at our Core Ignites Our Own Awakening at Both Inner and Outer Levels, and Helps Us Find Our Unique Role in the Whole

Within the context of the IOF project, the SoC is designed to help support transformation at both the outer, collective and inner, personal levels. In its function as a database and co-creative platform, the SoC will be used to help connect us for collective social awakening, freedom, collaboration and transformation. In its function as a support for coaching at the inner levels, it will also be used to facilitate inner growth, self-development, awakening and freedom, in ourselves as well as the friends and clients we are mentoring or coaching.

The central premise here is that by connecting with the deepest levels of consciousness within us, we can bring their light, wisdom and guidance to bear on our inner challenges at the psychological, emotional and mental levels, as well as the outer challenges to our freedoms at this time. The IOF coach supports the client, first of all, to understand that we live on multiple dimensions (not just as the physical, material individual body, but at subtler underlying levels of consciousness, energy, psyche, as well as wider collective cultural, social, ecological and planetary/cosmic fields). We then help them access the deepest level of consciousness possible, from which to meet their challenges at the other levels with spaciousness, self-compassion, new perspectives and creative power.

 
Accessing this deepest level of consciousness available to us could also be called accessing our intuition. We need to bring the client into a relaxed and spacious state (e.g., alpha or theta), deeper than the beta thinking mind, which typically rehashes the problems and constricts our potential to receive new information. The deeper we go in consciousness the more we access the unified field, which gives us access to new information and wider perspectives from which to address our challenges with new eyes, and find unexpected solutions. These solutions, because they come from the unified field, and universal source of consciousness, serve both our own highest interests and that of the collective, the Whole.

Our intuition comes from our direct connection with the unified field, and this is both informed by, and in turn informs, the Whole. At the deepest level we are the Whole, and as we progress in our journey, the illusion of separation itself falls away. We both rest in the Whole, and at the same time profoundly affect it, becoming vessels for a New Earth of caring, love, regeneration, revelation and redemption.

We actually are One Consciousness, but we have become disconnected from that awareness, and therefore our perceptions, and the outer systems we have created, are fragmented and divisive. We need to come back to unity consciousness as our essential nature, and let it flow through us into expressions of harmony and interconnectedness at all the other levels. When working with clients, we can see the ways they may be coming from divisive perception, thinking and actions at the various levels, particularly the levels where they are most struggling. We can then help guide them to that deeper unity consciousness at their core, from which they can witness, re-frame and reconfigure their perceptions, thoughts and actions at those levels, now from a perspective of interconnection, cooperation and synergy, opening up whole new potentials and directions. From this core shift in perception, then, new solutions and new possibilities, at both the inner and outer dimensions, can emerge.

II. Synergizing Transformation at the Multiple Dimensions of Our Being

The Spheres of Co-Creation brings together, then, in one integrated spectrum, the work of transformation in seven dimensions: consciousness, energetic, psycho-cultural, ecological, economic, socio-political and planetary/Cosmic. Our aim in the IOF Training is to help synergize the work at each of these levels within the client’s own being, as well as in connection with networks of others working for transformation globally. Many have recognized that we have to combine inner and outer transformation if we are to effect the radical changes needed in our world. As Gandhi famously said, we need to be the change we want to see – we need to bring about a revolution in both the deepest level of our consciousness and our outer global systems, and every dimension of our being in between. Given the scale of our crises, nothing less is called for today than an evolutionary leap, a whole-scale, whole-systems, holistic transformation, from the deepest source of our consciousness and of creation itself, aligning ourselves with the unity at our core and the unified field of the Cosmos.

As both an ontological model of the dimensions of our being, and an online platform for collaboration within and between those dimensions, the Spheres of Co-Creation is designed to facilitate this process.

The Spheres of Co-Creation is both a model of the interconnected relationship between the inner and outer levels of our being; and an online, interactive platform for the collaboration and co-creation of those working at all levels. Designed as nested spheres, enfolded within and unfolding out of each other like concentric ripples, a spiral or torus, from Consciousness to Cosmos, it illustrates the different levels of our being, inner and outer, individual and collective, and the dynamic connections between them.

Four Uses of the Spheres of Co-Creation

The Spheres of Co-Creation offers a big-picture vision of the multiple, dynamic dimensions of our being, as well as several other applications for personal and global transformation:

1) It represents an ontological spectrum of the multiple dimensions of our being, radiating from pure universal Consciousness at the innermost level to subtle, natural, social, planetary and Cosmic dimensions. This has both individual and collective implications, depicting the positive feedback loop between our consciousness, actions and planetary regeneration. It can also elevate us beyond our often short-sighted, single-issue aims and perspectives, into the exhilarating context of Cosmic evolution and our place in a participatory universe

2) It is also designed to function as an online database of organizations working for transformation at all these levels, and an interactive platform for their collaboration.  Organizations can map themselves into their spheres of action, to find and be found by each other, amplifying the work in each sphere and cross-pollinating across spheres. Coaches can help point their clients to organizations with which they can network, depending on both their needs for support and the skills they wish to share with the collective

4) It can also serve as a tool to help people identify where their own calling, passions and talents lie, where they feel most drawn to contribute. They can then focus their energies in those spheres, building greater skills, and link up with others in the database and network for synergistic collaboration. The SoC helps us see the power of our own unique role in the big picture of whole-systems transformation, complementing rather than competing, with the roles of others. We realize we are never alone, but part of a greater global evolutionary movement that supports us

5) The SoC can also be used as a tool for meditation and contemplation. We can explore, in vision and experientially, what interconnection and Oneness (unity-in-diversity) would look and feel like at each of the SoC levels, replacing the sense of separation, polarization and fragmentation we currently experience with new pathways to healing and unity. We can also use the model to develop the ability to “ride” the spectrum of consciousness, experiencing the progressive brainwave states that generate creativity and transformation, spanning from the stillness of pure unconditioned consciousness at our core to the respective frequencies of the different stages of creation: subtle inspiration, energy-information, vision and manifestation.
